Dr. Katherine Herdman, C. Psych.

Dr. Katherine Herdman is a psychologist registered in Clinical Psychology, Rehabilitation Psychology, and Neuropsychology. She is a graduate of York University's CPA-accredited Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology. She completed her residency at The Ottawa Hospital and also gained valuable clinical and research experience while working at Sunnybrook Health Sciences, Baycrest Health Sciences, York University Psychology Clinic, St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton, and in private practice.


After completing her training, Dr. Herdman served as a psychologist at The Ottawa Hospital Rehabilitation Centre, providing psychological assessment and intervention for individuals coping with illness or injury, supervising psychology trainees, and co-developing a Post-Covid-19 Condition/Long Covid program with an interdisciplinary team.

Dr. Herdman provides psychological assessment and treatment services for adults and seniors. She offers a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental space for healing and growth, and she aims to guide clients towards greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and resilience. Dr. Herdman uses an integrative therapy approach and draws on elements from evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT).

Dr. Herdman’s neuropsychology expertise enables her to adapt psychotherapy to meet the needs of individuals experiencing cognitive difficulties. She offers cognitive intervention to individuals experiencing issues with attention, memory, and organization. She is also available for professional speaking engagements and consultation
